I would have to say that one of the worst re-makes in TV History would have to be The New Munsters.
#1: The Show wasn't funny.
#2: The Cast was horrible.
#3: It made the original series look horrible.

I have to agree with you. (BTW, I think this show was syndicated in some areas as "The New Munsters", and in others as "The Munsters Today"). It seems like anytime someone tries to bring back a classic show, and give it the title of "The New ______", the show is doomed from the start. For example, there was "The New Odd Couple", "The New WKRP in Cincinati", etc.

oh yeah! it was 1988. And it lasted 3 seasons. 1988-1991. it was alright.

The boy who played Eddie on the new one also played Eric's bestfriend on Boy Meets World.

To duplicate a show that only lasted for 2 years in the first place is just silly, a show about a monster family in the 80s/90s not good.

I agree. Something that looks bad could make something else look good.

What are the New Munsters?

The Munsters Today was f***ing brilliant!!! Lee Meriwether and Howard Morton were great as Lily and Grandpa! Also, the stories were really funny, I mean , how can you NOT find this show funny?

I am also a fan of the origonal Munsters show, so take that into account, but I do favor The Munsters Today.

:lol: I agree. Sorry, but this one just never interested me. I saw a few episodes and when you compare it the original.. ouch, this was a stinker.
