Carl Standen nz 05-17-2010, 06:04 PM ^ but was there reason why cat never seen again in the show? McGillicuddy 05-17-2010, 06:20 PM I always figured Fluffy stayed behind at Grandma & Grandpa Tyler's house since Tiger scared her. The stranger thing is that Carol's parents are never seen or refered to again. jehobden 05-17-2010, 06:43 PM I always figured Fluffy stayed behind at Grandma & Grandpa Tyler's house since Tiger scared her. The stranger thing is that Carol's parents are never seen or refered to again. They, or maybe Mike's parents, were referred to both in "Katchoo", when it was thought that Tiger would have to move there because of Jan's allergy to him, and in "Father of the Year", when Marcia was told that she'd have to stay w/ her grandparents while the rest of the family went skiing. McGillicuddy 05-17-2010, 06:55 PM I think I read somewhere that Fluffy did not accept the role past the pilot, cause she wanted to keep her options open. About that time she was up for the role of Morris' girlfriend in those catfood commercials. sixfingers 05-18-2010, 12:25 AM I think I read somewhere that Fluffy did not accept the role past the pilot, cause she wanted to keep her options open. About that time she was up for the role of Morris' girlfriend in those catfood commercials. Of course, in Morris's condition he doesn't really need a girlfriend. Then again, that was the old Morris. Except Morris didn't accept her as a co-star because he was too finicky! sixfingers 05-18-2010, 12:36 AM An intresting side note, is that although it is known that two cats played fluffy, they were selected from a group of 35 and nobody knows which two were actaully used. How could Fluffy have been played by two cats if she was only in one episode? Marvo301 05-18-2010, 01:43 AM How could Fluffy have been played by two cats if she was only in one episode? One was a stunt cat for the action scenes! Smartboy 05-18-2010, 02:08 AM One was a stunt cat for the action scenes! Thank you for taking that load off of my mind! sixfingers 05-18-2010, 02:18 AM How could Fluffy have been played by two cats if she was only in one episode? Tiger was played by two different dogs in the pilot, and neither was used in the series. Bachu 05-18-2010, 07:53 AM Fluffy was in the pilot, but was never seen or referred to again during the series run The writers probably figured having a dog was enough. I cannot think of many plot lines for a cat. Perhaps they had exhusted all of Fluffys potential storylines and decided to rest the character. I do not think cats train as easily as dogs either. Torgo 05-18-2010, 10:33 AM This entire thread just made my day:lol: Marth22 05-22-2010, 01:38 PM Fluffy was in the pilot, but was never seen or referred to again during the series run The writers probably figured having a dog was enough. Only our imaginations can decide what really happenned to fluffy. I like to think he was peacefully given to one of the neighbors and not that an accident befell poor fluffy :D Smartboy 05-22-2010, 09:04 PM Only our imaginations can decide what really happenned to fluffy. I like to think he was peacefully given to one of the neighbors and not that an accident befell poor fluffy :D Although I might come off as being a little nit-picky about this, I am going to state that I think that fluffy was a she. McGillicuddy 05-22-2010, 11:21 PM I don't understand what the big mystery is!!!! Fluffy, who was a she, didn't go with Carol and the girls, when they moved into Mike's house. She stayed back with the grandparents, and lived happily ever after, away from Tiger. James 05-23-2010, 02:17 AM Of course, in Morris's condition he doesn't really need a girlfriend. Then again, that was the old Morris. "Morris" began starring in cat food commercials in 1969, the same year TBB started. (And that was the first cat they used! Which died in 1978, by the way.) I guess my sense of humor is a little too subtle for some people. BTW, did you notice that that article contradicts itself? In one place it says the first Morris died in 1978, in another place it says he died in 1975! The first Morris died in 1978 and was subsequently replaced by two more cats who played "Morris." All three of the "Morris the Cat" cats were rescued from shelters. The original Morris reigned as king of the kitty commercials from 1969 until he was dethroned by death in 1975. She stayed back with the grandparents, and lived happily ever after, away from Tiger. Now that I think about it, maybe poor Fluffy didn't "live happily ever after". Tiger's the one that disappeared, (I think in season 2) with no explanation. Did he end up at Grandma & Grandpa's house too? Poor Fluffy! Torgo 05-25-2010, 11:14 AM Fluffy hooked up with one of the Tribbles from Star Trek, and they had a baby together.... After all cats do have nine lives! Smartboy 06-08-2010, 01:20 AM Maybe he died twice! After all cats do have nine lives! I remember cases in which this logic was used on a "Batman" episode and a "Loony Toons" cartoon. Oh, so THAT'S what happened! :) I'd always heard that the two of them staged a joint holdout, figuring that the producers simply would HAVE to meet their demands, or else produce the show without them. Sure enough, they both ended up waiting tables, always hoping for that next big break...sadly, it never happened. :crying: sixfingers 08-01-2010, 12:29 PM In the commentary for the pilot Schwartz hints at why Fluffy wasn't in the series, he talks about how hard it was to get the cat to do what it was supposed to do. opus 02-13-2016, 12:34 AM In the commentary for the pilot Schwartz hints at why Fluffy wasn't in the series, he talks about how hard it was to get the cat to do what it was supposed to do. Aren't cats harder to train than dogs? Bonniegirl 02-13-2016, 01:07 AM I LOVED Fluffy!!!! One of the reasons the first/pilot ep. was one of my favorites!!!! Fluffy was my favorite type of cat, an orange tabby!!!! Wish they would have kept him in the show!!! And how cool was his little "cat house" ? http://www.cinemacats.com/wp-content/uploads/television/bradybunchhoneymoon01.jpg Babalu 02-13-2016, 07:10 PM Aren't cats harder to train than dogs? Yes they are, although cats are significantly easier to train than humpback whales, which is why you see so few humpback whales in sitcoms. opus 02-13-2016, 08:13 PM Yes they are, although cats are significantly easier to train than humpback whales, which is why you see so few humpback whales in sitcoms. Free Willy: The Sitcom. After being freed, Willy becomes the wacky neighbor to a family of lobsters. Stars Ted McGinley and a pre-Friends Jennifer Aniston. frankred 03-10-2016, 08:56 PM Fluffy actually became Chuck Cunninghams pet cat. The two of them faded into oblivion never to be talked about or heard of again. |
