Does anyone know about the segment about a sting in arlington, va? the story aired with the teresita basa case....anybody remember it? i saw a quick preview of it and im dying to see the rest of it or at least know what happened!!!!

Yes I certainly remember that one, its great! I think it would make an excellent movie. An undercover cop from Virginia named Bruce Hackert arrested Tony Mitchell when he tried to trade him guns for cocaine. His father-in-law and wife were also arrested. He then heard that Tony wanted Hackert dead unless he could get rid of the charges. Hackert met with Tony and Tony offered him a $40,000 bribe to get rid of all charges against him and his family. Hackert supplied false papers showing him charges had been dropped. Mitchell was so happy he told Hackert he knew a lot of other people who would pay him to have their charges dropped. Hackert soon had many, many people offering him bribes from all around the country. It got to where too many people were being brought in so 4 months into it it was decided to end the sting operation. An ingenius plan was hatched and Hackert hosted a "retirement party" and invited all the would be bribers. The waiters and waitresses at the party were actually undercover cops, lol! Then at the end of the party when everyone was having a good time Hackert tells them they are all under arrest! They couldn't believe it and one guy even faked a heart attack. Seventeen of Hackert's "clients" were convicted. The end of the segment shows 2 guys who were wanted who didn't attend the party but there was an update and they were quickly captured.
