Because there isn't enough original ideas out there (*cough* bull****! *cough*) Twentieth Century Fox have taken on "Commando" producer Joel Silver's recent suggestion that the 1985 actioner needs to be remade (surprisingly enough, Silver's not involved), says Deadline.

David Hayter ("Street Kings") will write and direct the reboot of the Arnold Schwarzenegger (and Rae Dawn Chong) ''classic''. John Davis and Erwin Stoff will produce.

And before Abking writes in suggesting "Schwarzenegger will probably get the call", let me reemphasize what "remake" means - it means, essentially anyone connected with the original film will be cut loose. You'll be looking at another 'John Matrix' I'm afraid.

If there was any movie that cried out for a remake...it was Commando.

If Commando gets remade, it's going straight to video hahahahahahahahaha.
