Which was the WORST episode of "Bewitched"?And this can include the episodes with Dick York as Darrin, those WITHOUT Darrin,AND those with Dick Sargent as Darrin.

I wont say worse, but the very last episode of the series was a major dissapointment. It was a repeat of an episode from season two. They even said the same lines. It was the one where Endora gave Darrin an item and any mortal who came around it would tell the truth, whether they wanted to or not.

I have to say the episodes that Dick York had to miss before he left - because without him/Darrin, the show had a big hole. Even after the role was recast, the show never was the same without DY. I also never cared for the Spooky Chair episode.

I'm not too fond of the Tabitha and Samantha learn figure skating mortal style episode.

Sounds like they borrowed ( I love Liz so I hate to say stole) that idea from The Twilight Zone episode "The Whole Truth" in which a car salesman buys a run-down Model-A and later learns that it's haunted and that as long as he owns the car he has to tell the truth. I haven't seen the Bewitched episode but I hope the plot was much better done because that TZ episode is one of the worst ever.

There was no Worsted episodes of Bewitched, only Bestest episodes ;), & whenever one sees an episode of Bewitched it is so good that it automatically is taken off of the Worsted episode list & put on the Bestest episode list.

While not a tremendous episode from a writing standpoint, it's too hard to call it the worst because Liz just looks too damn good in it with the long hair. Gotta love the scene in the kitchen at the start when she's offended by Darrin's "challenge" to learn to skate the mortal way as she's got her back to him and turns around. "....and if I can't....then I'll be more careful in the future about accepting challenges." (by the way, that's ALSO a repeated line that she used in the episode where she agreed to learn to play the piano in the mortal way - they do that a lot :( )

And as far as the worst in my opinion.....take any Salem episode. Sorry, I know they went on the road when the set caught fire and had to stay out for a while, but NONE of those did it for me. You can even add the couple that started season seven when they had the High Priestess of Witches, Hepzibah come to dissolve the mortal/witch marriage. Those were almost excruciating to get though. :(

I think the ice skating episode too.

I never knew the Salem episodes were the result of a fire on the set! Still, I strongly disagree that these, are bad episodes. These are my favorite episodes from the Dick Sargent era. But I love any classic sit-com that goes "on-location".

As far as a worst episode of Bewitched, I don't think I can come up with one.

I really liked all the Salem episodes, especially the two parter before they go to Salem.

I thought the on location shots really added a lot to the shows & the season as a whole.

I think a better question is which of the 6 episodes set in Salem was your favorite show.

Mine would be "Darrin on a Pedestal" # 205, Serena & her escapades were Classic Bewitched & highly fun & entertaining.

I loved her little hideaway that she created for herself & her Seamen (I wonder how they got away with that in 1970).

It really exists too as it was filmed on location there in Magnolia i believe it is called, have to visit that one for sure sometime.

Her Hot roadster was a trip too, that part was filmed in LA as they reshot that bit with this different car.

Of course I don't like the episodes without Dick York. He and Samantha played off each other so well.

However, to me the worst episode is the eighth season one with the Loch Ness Monster. What a waste of time. The show had really sunk to a low level at that point.

And as I said on another post, the 5th season episode "Samantha, the Bard",although it did have some mildly amusing parts, was "very annoying ".It was okay, but not one of my favorites.

It is like asking which of the two Godfather movies was the worst of the two of them, or which of the two Jessica's is worst looking, Alba & Biel that is ;)

I think Samantha the Bard is excellent & very unique & creative, a 4/5 & one of the better episodes of season 5 i think.

What is worst are negative questions like this that are only good for giving people an excuse to bash aspects of Bewitched, that for reasons unwitchly they seem to have a need to express towards a show that was about Love & should have only Love directed towards it, both on merit & good Witchlyness.

^ No, it's not, it's just people offering honest opinions. I love Bewitched as much as the next person, but even my favorite shows had some dud episodes. Just because we think Bewitched had some dud episodes doesn't mean we are trashing the show.

Well a negative view that gives someone a chance to bash & spew hatred at a show that they espouse to love is not in my view a positive action & pointless to boot, as are such questions as this.

Myself i do not think there were any duds on Bewitched, if you were to rank them 1 to 254 then number 254 would still be an excellent first rate episode of the best sitcom of all time & rate at least a 3/5 in grade.

Questions like this remind my of the idiotic thing they had on Harpies a while back where season after season people picked the 5 worst episodes of that season that they hated and as it went on and the lower 5 were eliminated they picked the next 5 episodes that they hated & spewed why this was so, what a pointless exercise that was that went on month after month with so called fans saying why they hated 5 Bewitched episodes which essentially was all they did in that concept.

To me that is dumb & stupid & a pointless exercise, this question is basically the same thing, i see no point to it as it ends up being a why i hate Bewitched thread.

If someone wants to ask a question like this they can, but i can also offer my views on said question.

Well don't participate in this discussion then if it offends you so much. People are entitled to discuss this question here. We all love "Bewitched" but some of us can critically say that there were episodes WHICH IN THEIR OPINION weren't up to scratch.

Answering the original question in this thread, for me I would have to nominate some of the retreads of earlier episodes in season eight as the worst of the episodes, in my opinion they were siply "fill in" episodes with no new spark or imagination hardly at all although I can usually find something I like even in those episodes!

I have neither interest not intention on participating in such an asinine discussion such as this which seems to have griped some in it's ugly tentacles.

Perhaps your bi-focals need adjusting as i clearly stated others could if they so wished just as i could express my views on the whole concept if i wished, what about that do you not understand.??

Some obviously neither love nor like Bewitched but simply want to use it as part of a dubious at best agenda.

You still seem infatuated in directing your posts at me rather then at the show, Troll on.................

One i don't care who started the thread, my response was not at the poster but what was in the post, i will not beg to answer such an ignorant question, because you see i am a Bewitched fan.

And if i want your opinion as to my remarks i will ask for it, who do you think you are to decide what is snide or not and tell me what therefore is postable or not, your question was the idiotic one, my response was the reasonable & accurate one.

You've answered the question, quite a few times. You have a right to your opinion, yet if you think it's impossible for a bad episode of Bewitched to exist, you're wrong. There are no right or wrongs when it comes to opinions. I like Bewitched a lot, yet I hate the Salem episodes. There's no such thing as a long-running show that only has perfect episodes. No such thing.

I also think Jessica Alba makes Biel look average, and I think the Godfather II is way better than than its predecessor. Pleasle play nice. It's not polite to say someone's thread is a dumb, stupid and pointless exercise as well as an ignorant question. This is someone's thread, and it deserves respect, just as you expect of your threads. It's also against the rules to keep slamming a person's thread topic. You need to lighten up. It's clear that you can't handle this topic.

I answered the question once, my other responses were directed to replys to me that were directed personally at me which should not have happened in the first place, that is then point of it all so i did not keep slamming it, i slammed the replys directed at me.

All i did was give my opinion i did not try to stop others from giving their opinions which they were & are free to do.

I didn't say it was not possible for a bad episode of Bewitched to exist, i stated that one simply did not exist in this case with this show.

I didn't say perfect i said good.

I am playing nice, all i do is post about a topic where from my post you could not tell who i was responding too, others seem to be unable to grasp this concept & seem to want to force their views on others & attack them personally at which point i do respond to the personal attacks directly which is my right.

The point is that the initial personalization should not happen in the first place & if it does the Mod needs to nip it in the bud & delete it & warn the abusive poster.

The only one I see insulting others here is YOU. Plain and simple. But in the interest of democracy, I say this to everyone:

NO NAME CALLING OR INSULTING!!! If you feel you are being insulted, PM me or any of the administrators. People need to let us know. I check the boards every day, but I and the other moderators/administrators have other things outside the boards that need attention.

I'm still recovering from serious injuries from a terrifying car accident several weeks ago and am in constant pain. I'm also still looking for a job since I lost my last job due to the company shutting down. My uncle died two months ago unexpectedly. I do the best I can and I'm sorry if that's not good enough for you.

Larry Tate, consider this an official warning from an Administrator. If you keep this up, you'll be suspended. You're the only abusive poster on this thread. If you take issue with this warning, you can discuss it with TJ. He'll review this thread, and decide who's out of line. People have a right to discuss their favorite episodes and their least favorite episodes. You ruined this thread. Nobody else.

It ends here. Leave this thread alone. Stay on topic, which is what episode do you consider the worst. The topic is not, "This thread shouldn't be here." No more long-winded sermons. End it.
