Hey, I was just wondering. Have there ever been any past episode references in "I Love Lucy"? I mean by past episode references it's where a main character in a later episode of a tv show would mention somthing that happened in earlier episodes of that same show.

I've notice in a lot of shows made today once in awhile you'd here a reference to something that happened in an earlier episode. I don't mean like flashback "you remember when?" episodes. I mean just a line that referenced a past even in a earlier episode.

For instence in the season finally of 7th Heaven Season 10 when Heather comes in and Simon introduces her to Kevin Kinkurk. Well Simon also, mentions the time when Matt broke into the church and step Heathers first wedding which was the last two episodes of Season 3.

When the Ricardos moved to Connecticut, right before Lucy left the apartment for the final time she asked Ethel if she remembered the time she locked herself in a trunk. I can't recall anything else off the top of my head.

Wasn't there a mention in a later season of the time Fred Mertz bought the old car? I seem to recall Ethel referring to that.

In Paris when Lucy wanted a Jacques Marcel dress, Ricky mentioned getting her the Don Loper dress in Hollywood.

In the episode when Lucy got Ricky released from his contract, Ricky loses his temper and Lucy helps him smash things in the hotel room. All the while, Ricky says: "This is worse than the time you tried to louse up my screen test." Lucy: "How about when we got arrested in Tennessee?" Lucy also mentions that they were handcuffed.

In "The Indian Show", Ricky said that the last time Lucy said she was going to be in his act was going to be her swan song. The episode was called: "Lucy's Showbiz Swan Song."
