What happened in the last few minutes of "The Adoption?" My DVD recorder didn't record the last scene completely. The last I saw was Ralph walking out the door and Alice putting her face in her hands and crying. Was this the very end of the episode or was there a little bit more? If so, what happened? Thanks for your replies.

If you are talking about the 50s version of that episode, then that is exactly how it ended.
I am sure that you are not talking about the rarely seen 1960s remake of the episode (which was used as the pilot episode of the Color Honeymooners) that is also how the sketch ends. It's just that, there is a curtain call at the end.
Now, I am pretty sure that you are talking about the former because the 60s remake aired on TV Land in 2000. Back then of course, DVD recorders had yet to be invented.

Thanks, Frank. Yes, I failed to mention that it was the 1950s episode of "The Adoption", which was broadcast on a local television station early Monday morning. I recorded it but thought the last scene might have been cut off too soon. I didn't have my DVD recorder set to record to the very end of the hour because I wanted to avoid a long line of commercials. I thought there just might have been a few minutes more to the episode. Fortunately, thanks to you, I know that I recorded all of the episode.
