Does anyone know if you can find a copy of The Anissa Jones Story from the E! True Hollywood stories?

Thank You!

It was also posted on YouTube. I saw it months ago, so I'm not sure if it's still up there or not.

Ah, thanks, CatLover. :)
I'll take a look when I can view youtube vids again. As soon as I'm able to get the flash player to install again. I've been having a pain of a time with that recently.

And TeeVeeCloset, Thank you!
I sent you one RIGHT back! ;)

I would very much like to see this also. I just recently got Family Affair the complete series. Sometimes its just sad watching this sweet little girl and knowing her sad fate.

I can't agree with you more! I also recently recieved the complete series a couple weeks ago. And it is sad to watch... if you think about it, which I try not too. But watching the E! thing (thanks to a wonderful collector, I now have a copy) just brings tears to your eyes. Her "off-screen" life was so horrid! The girl just wanted to be loved SO badly!!

I had known what had happened to her for years, but watching that special, it makes you want someone to invent a time machine just to go back and prevent Ms. Jones from joining a drug group and let her know she IS loved.

She (Buffy) had always kinda been my fav character. Esp when I was watching it when TVLand aired it back in the 90s.

I recently got a copy of the E! True Hollywood Story. It looks like it was Anissa's mother, a greedy-Hollywood-kidstar mom, who destroyed her daughter's life. Interesting show, but very sad. There's commentary from both Kathy Garver and Johnny Whittikar.

I saw that show and yes Anissa did have a sad life. Being a child when the Family Affair was on, I never had any clue to her life other than seeing her on the show. Anissa was on tour during the shows run to promote the Buffy clothes line and she seemed to have a busy schedule for a young child. The E show mentioned Anissa's brother died of drug abuse as well.

Yes, Paul - who I believe was her only sibling. He passed in 1984 of an overdose. :(

Anissa and Paul lived with their grandmother much of the time between the end of Family Affair and Anissa's death.

Where were their parents at the time? I do remember the E story saying the Jones were divorced and Anissa was shuffled around between Mom and Dad.

Anissa's story is so sad. She was only 18 years old when she dies of a drug overdose. That is only 5 years older than I am today. She must have been really hooked on drugs because it has been reported that a ton of drugs were found in her system when she died. Anissa would have turned 57 on March 11 this year.
