A significant date indeed, both for rock and roll history and for the Nelson family, since, as Ozzie himself admitted, Rick's singing career probably kept the show on for a few more seasons than it would have lasted otherwise.

Also, four days ago--April 20--was also a significant date in Nelson family history: that was the date that Rick and Kris got married in 1963.

Hooray to the start of a very distinguished singing career! Many of Rick's songs are just awesome.
