ABC new creepy thriller "Happy Town" premiers Wednesday, April 28th and follows the residents of the sun-splashed town of Haplin, Minnesota -- also known as "Happy Town" -- who have enjoyed an uneasy peace for the past five years -- but that is about to change.

Still haunted by a number of unsolved kidnappings, Haplin now faces a disturbing new crime that brings all of its unresolved fears to the surface. Has the elusive "Magic Man" - who many believe is responsible for the bizarre abductions -- returned to claim yet another innocent victim?

As Haplin's mysteries are revealed, many of its prominent citizens' motives come under scrutiny as their own secrets and personalities are peeled back one layer at a time.

ABC Moves "Happy Town" to June

So much for it being a "Happy Town".



According to the Live Feed, the freshman mystery series, which has struggled in the ratings since its debut last month, has been shelved until Wed., Jun. 2, where ABC will begin airing the show's final five episodes on consecutive Wednesdays through Jun. 30.



A new episode of "Happy Town" is still scheduled to air this Wednesday before the move, according to the report.


"Happy Town" premiered on Apr. 28 to dismal ratings, averaging just 5.2 million viewers and a 1.7 rating among adults 18-49.
The following episode dipped to a 1.2 rating in the coveted demo, marking a 29 percent decrease.

I could barely watch the 1st episode. There's something about this show I don't care for. When I know a show's cancelled & I have episodes left that I recorded on the DVR, I tend to not watch the rest.

More sad news for "Happy Town":

The Live Feed is reporting ABC has yanked the low-rated midseason drama from its summer schedule, and will now burn off its final two episodes on a Saturday night in July.



According to the report, "Happy Town" was averaging just 2.2 million viewers on Wednesday nights.

Next week, it will be replaced by the Jimmy Kimmel special "Twilight Saga: Total Eclipse Of the Heart", according to TV by the Numbers.

The final 2 episodes of ABC's canceled "Happy Town" are now available at abc.com. The series was pulled from the Wednesday schedule after its June 16th airing due to low ratings.


The two episodes are "Dallas Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" and "Blame It On Rio-Bravo". These will not air on tv, so it will be your only shot at watching it.



I suggest you watch it if you were watching the show so that you have an ending because there is an actual ending to the show.
