Franklin will still take center stage, but in a move to stump high-tech counterfeiters, a blue security ribbon and a Liberty Bell in an inkwell will also be included.

The ribbon contains images of bells that move, change and then disappear as the note is tilted one way and another.

The Liberty Bell changes color from copper to green when the note is moved up and down, and it, too, disappears and reappears.

When it comes into circulation on Feb. 10, 2011 the 6.5 billion in existing $100 bills will still be legal tender.

I hate it when a piece of paper is more high tech than everything else I own!

yea, I heard that they make changes to the bills every few years to keep ahead of counterfiters because counterfiting has become so easy because of technoligy.
And one of the changes they're making is something that Ben Franklin proposed back in the 1700s; because of counterfiting.
