I just got done looking at another totally stellar ep of tc. Jack was doing that whole gay thing again, and I wondered, is this offensive to any gay men out there? The dude is always doing that thingy, and it seems that alot of people may think that is homophobic, and that is not cool. It bothers me sometimes when he does that whole thing, (although I do love S. B-Fellows) cause it may just be kind of offensive. Do you feel the same way>

It shouldn't be offensive--I don't think he did anything mean-spirited towards gay men. TV shows have made fun of all kinds of people ever since it first started!! I'm a blonde woman, but I'm not outraged because of the Chrissy character!
My 2-cents worth is that the world is now too politically correct and people are afraid to laugh and have fun without offending someone...That's why I prefer the old shows, I guess ;)

I am also blonde, and when people look at me, they think Im going to say or do something stupid which they say I do sometimes. I look alot like the chrissy peron and think that while it's funny, they potray her as not making any kind of scnece when she in my opinion made perfect scence. I am though talking about gay people being offended. Unless you are gay you can't speak for them. I just wanna know is it in anyway just stereotypical and offensive to any of you gay people cause I don't think that its cool to be hurtful to a group of people. Im just curious, that's all.

The person that played Jim the Bartender is gay, and he wasn't affended by the show. Paul Ainsley (Jim the Bartender) and John Ritter (Jack Tripper) said they had some gay friends at the time, and that none of them were affended.
(BTW, everything about the political thing is true. People are afraid to laugh at anything these days!
