View Full Version : Why is there a banner ad for "Romantically Challenged" at SitcomsOnline.com?

Isn't that show a little controversial to warrant a banner ad on a PG-13 site?

It's just a series premiere we are promoting. It's not a paid ad. A little controversial? I haven't read anything about that. This is a network sitcom airing at 9:30/8:30pm. Why don't you watch it first before you start labeling it? I think The Wonder Years had quite a few controversial episodes that dealt with serious subjects.

TJ, I was looking for the article the Parents Television Council put out, but it's gone. It came in an "e-alert", which they didn't save to their website.

James, it is TV PG. I have seen it. There is nothing of bad content. It is your normal adult sitcom. This isn't HBO.

If it's on ABC it certainly wouldn't be worse than PG-13.

I seriously doubt small children will be attending the Art Institutes, signing up for affordable web hosting, or deciding whether or not the Oreck XL meets their vacuuming needs, but all three advertise here.

Indeed, since disabling Adblock (It's especially important in a down economy that the independent web sites I frequent get dollars from my page impressions) I've also seen ads appear at Sitcoms Online for Victoria's Secret, Trojan condoms, and other various things which aren't particularly "family friendly".

Considering the show isn't even airing on cable I wouldn't be worried *too* much about the content.

I saw the show, and it was tame in terms of adult content. It was very funny, and Alyssa Milano gets more gorgeous with every passing year. I'll stick with the show if it remains this good.
