I've been watching The Golden Girls on WETV HD and I have a high definition television set. The quality is really good because even though the show isn't high definition, when shows are put on high definition channels as opposed to standard they generally look better (if you have a HD set).

WE-TV has done something to the picture to make it fit the entire screen. I don't mind it as I enjoy it very much. When I watch my DVDs I have it set to stretch the image; and interestingly GG is a show where stretching can be done without it being so noticeable.

There are shows where this stretching is noticeable. It's interesting how it affects each show differently (in this case referring only to non-HD shows).

Is WE HD also cutting off the top and bottom of the picture in addition to expanding the width? Just curious if someone could confirm it. If I get a chance I will try to do so myself and report with results.
