Titled "Mike in Charge".Just watched it on the second season DVD,and I thought it was pretty good.Considering all the things that he had to deal with,(what with that pesky saleswoman,Robbie and friend Hank getting hurt(they were both okay at the end)trouble at Chip's school, between Chip and a little girl-I didn't care for the girl, she was kind of rude,)I think he handled himself pretty well as head of the house, while Steve and Bub were away.To those of you who have seen the episode, what did you think of it?

And,in case you didn't know, the "he"I was referring to was Mike.

"Coincidence"?This is a classic episode that had "The Twilight Zone"written all over it.In it Steve wishes he had girls instead of boys, and thanks to a little old man named "Longfellow",gets his wish, when he takes a drive to the store and sees a house just like the Douglas',and a family with a widowed mother and her brood named Mike (Michelle),Bobbie(Roberta)and Kip,the grandmother named Mub,and a dog named Juliet.Anyway, the family(Bub,Mike,Robbie and Chip-especially doubting Thomas Mike)don't believe him,and think he's overworked, and when they go to the house,no one is there.I'm not going to spoil the end, except to say it is funny.

I like the 'Mike in Charge' episode, too, especially the scene at the hospital. And 'Coincidence' is one of my all time favorite episodes. Is it on the season 2volume 2 DVD set?

Oh,THAT'S the name of that episode! I remember back when Nick at Nite used to show it that was one of the first episodes they showed. And I remember; I hadn't seen the series inYEARS (since it was on CBS) and I had never seen the early ones. So, I remember when they first showed Mike I didn't know who he was!:)
