View Full Version : Anyone Remember... Chelsea 12-11-2001, 01:08 PM The Magnificent Marble Machine, lol (yes, that is a real game show) Rezny@gmail.com 04-02-2010, 09:43 PM Oh yeah. The show's host was the late Art James,(remember his LAST game show he hosted the short-lived 1986 game "Catch Phrase"?)and started out as a pretty good celebrity-contestant game, which toward the end of its short run, became ALL celebrities, and soon after was cancelled. And how about these CBS clinkers from the 1970's:'Pass the Buck"(with the late Bill Cullen),"Whew!"(another celebrity-contestant game that was retitled "Celebrity Whew!"(with ALL celebrities)and had Tom Kennedy as its host.),and in the 1980's,1988's"Blackout"(which started out promising, but a format change made it forgettable.Bob Goen hosted this short-lived show.) 70s show watcher 04-03-2010, 01:01 AM i used to watch it all the time at was an interesting show there was an ep of it posted on you tube awhile back im nor sure if its still there though howilu 04-03-2010, 02:58 PM I remember watching "The Magnificant Marble Machine." The bonus round was boring to watch and the pinball machine kept breaaking down during tapings. Even an all-celebrity format didn't help the show. Rezny@gmail.com 04-03-2010, 11:23 PM Betty White's foray into game shows,as host of the 1983 NBC flop "Just Men"for which she won an Emmy as Outstanding Game Show Host/Hostess,1983's short-lived"Hit Man"(NBC),or "Go"(NBC)? Rezny@gmail.com 04-04-2010, 12:48 PM Or this very-short lived 1985 NBC game show "Your Number's Up"?hosted by the late Nipsey Russell? |
