View Full Version : Have You Ever Had Breakfast For Dinner? Family Ties Forever! 04-09-2010, 09:40 PM Do you ever eat breakfast at dinner time? I did that recently. catlover79 04-09-2010, 09:47 PM Oh yes - my folks will sometimes cook pancakes and bacon for dinner. We just ate them last night, as a matter of fact. :D Marvo301 04-09-2010, 09:54 PM I sometimes have breakfast for dinner and sometimes for lunch. I've even been known to have a bowl of cereal for a late night snack! HuntingtonM15 04-09-2010, 10:32 PM I do on a regular basis. It usually consists of pancakes, bacon and hashbrowns. treky 04-09-2010, 10:35 PM when I was growing up in the 60s, we sometimes had french toast for dinner. I remember I told that to a friend of mine once, and he looked at me and said "FRENCH TOAST?? FOR DINNER??? That's for breakfast"!!! Mr. Television 04-09-2010, 10:43 PM I haven't done it in a long time but when I was a kid we sometimes ate pancakes for dinner. I always considered that a treat since we didn't have pancakes that much. :D Retro4Life 04-09-2010, 11:13 PM When I was young my mom would often make sausage and eggs for Sunday night supper (I guess that's what most people call "dinner" now). And while I wasn't a big pancake eater, my folks used to have that at night occasionally, too. phoebe7165 04-09-2010, 11:39 PM We used to have pancakes and eggs for dinner alot when I was a kid, because we didn't always have alot of money. Even now when we go to Cracker Barrel for dinner, I usually end up getting some kind of breakfast food along with my dinner. LuLu Rogers 04-10-2010, 12:15 AM Here in the South it's quite common. My family will often have eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy and ham for supper. 70s show watcher 04-10-2010, 01:30 AM sure at least once a month OH Nuts! 04-10-2010, 11:09 AM An omelette with some toast or a bagel and some OJ can really fit the bill sometimes for a nightly meal! So...yes...maybe every few months or so I do have an egg dish for dinner. TJL 04-10-2010, 11:13 AM Brinner sounds like a good idea. ;) Retro4Life 04-10-2010, 12:16 PM Damn, this thread is making me :eatarrow:  !! http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve/2897739/2/istockphoto_2897739_scrambled_eggs_and_sausage.jpg Zoneboy 04-10-2010, 01:06 PM Never deny this man his breakfast. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo283/tzgames/norm-4874acc03e4e2-FallingDown19931.jpg Retro4Life 04-10-2010, 01:16 PM Never deny this man his breakfast. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo283/tzgames/norm-4874acc03e4e2-FallingDown19931.jpg Indeed! MickeyMac 04-10-2010, 02:33 PM Breakfast for dinner, I do that quite often. Janice 04-10-2010, 08:19 PM I have Eggo waffles sometimes when my husband ate out, and I don't have to cook. Once in a while, I'll cook breakfast for dinner. I did it tonight. I made French toast, an omelette, bacon and home fries. Good stuff, but lots of pans and a pain in the neck to cook. I think cooking breakfast makes a big mess. Family Ties Forever! 04-10-2010, 09:56 PM I like Eggos. I love French Toast.:) spunkygirl 04-11-2010, 08:35 AM Sometimes I do. I will eat a bowl of cereal for dinner, or just fix sausage patties, and hasbrowns with toast. Do NOT like eggs :barf: Plus eggs make my stomach hurt cause of my acid reflux phoebe7165 04-11-2010, 03:45 PM I like Eggos. I love French Toast.:) So do I!! I also like making homemade waffles from my waffle iron. Then put butter on it when it's still hot, so the butter melts in the waffle indents, then put some powdered sugar, so the suger melts into the butter. Un-believable!!! angiefan 04-11-2010, 10:01 PM Yes.We were going to have eggs and toast, bacon and coffee, but we had Pancakes instead. RoryGilmore 04-11-2010, 10:18 PM Yep, we do it often. Pitooey 04-11-2010, 10:37 PM Once in a while. I usually cook dinner so I don't have to eat the breakfast at night time. browneyes106 04-12-2010, 09:37 PM I eat breakfast for dinner once in awhile. Some nights when I'm really tired I'll just eat cereal for dinner. |
