TV Casting: Michael Nouri Joins "All My Children"

It looks like Erica Kane may have finally found her match.

According to ABC, actor Michael Nouri ("Brothers & Sisters", "The OC") has joined the cast of the longrunning soap opera "All My Children", playing Caleb McGraw, a man who hits Erica's (Susan Lucci) radar "airplane crashes into his remote, mountainside home."

Suffice to say the two don't get along much after that.

Cool!!! Michael Nouri also was nominated for Best Actor on a Daytime Drama for his role as Steve Kaslo on the now-defunct soap Search For Tomorrow back in 1976, but lost out to his co-star, Larry Haines. More recently, he had a gig on Y&R, which I think was about 4 or 5 years ago.

Here is a SFT clip from 1978 that shows Michael Nouri in flashback. In the story, his widow, Liza, has begun to fall for another man and this musical montage shows her inner torment over her love for her dead husband vs. falling for a wonderful new man (who would become her next husband and second true love).

The character of Steve Kaslo was a singer/songwriter, and I believe Michael Nouri actually did Steve's singing. So I believe the voice you hear singing in this clip is that of Michael Nouri.
