Leonard’s ex, Leslie Winkle (Sara Gilbert), will reenter his life in Big Bang Theory’s explosive May 24th season finale.

Gilbert, who did a bang-up job as a terminal patient on last week’s Grey’s Anatomy, was last seen on Big Bang in 2009 when Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Leslie parted ways, paving the way for his romance with Penny (Kaley Cuoco).

According to a show insider, Leslie’s still been hanging around the University, even though we haven’t see her. Her surprise appearance will be brief but very significant, as it occurs at a very awkward time for our poor little Leonard.

It's about friggin time! I like Leslie, and it's definitely nice to see Sara coming back. Hopefully she'll play a more intregal role next season as well...

I liked her VERY much; she's certainly more believable than that nymphy physics professor they tried to shove down our throat.
