Sharon Lawrence, probably best-known for her work on "NYPD Blue," has been cast in a CBS pilot, theHollywood Reporter says.

Lawrence will play the nosy mother of newlywed Rachel, played by Kristin Kreuk, in the Josh Schwartz comedy project "Hitched." Lawrence has recently made guest appearances on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Community."
