View Full Version : The Evil Stepmother Actually Helped Cinderella!
Janice Johnson 04-02-2010, 11:37 PM When you think about it, The Evil Stepmother helped Cinderella! she made her stepmother Cinderella cook, clean, and sow, while she allowed her two daughters to sit around and do NOTHING! Let's see the two stepsisters fend for themselves sufficiently. Cinderella will be better equipped to take care of herself, and she will look better to a Prince, as she knows how to run a household with her domestics(Cinderella story was set centuries ago, where a man EXPECTED a woman to do all these three things). Evil Mom screwed up her own kids by not making them do chores like she did to Cinderella. :)
Courtnee 04-02-2010, 11:53 PM You realize that the story of Cinderella is fictional, right?

 Courtnee, I love you! ;) :D
Janice Johnson 04-03-2010, 09:18 PM I know that Cinderella was fictional....  It is the principle of the story. :)

I'm not sure I understand your logic. You make a big deal about the readiness of fictional characters and when I call you on it, you basically retract your statements. Not to mention hide behind that annoying eye roll thing.
If you're going to make dumb threads at least stick by them. kthnx.

I am not retracting my statement. :) I ma just saying that it was a good thing that The Evil Stepmother made Cinderella do all those chores, as she made Cinderella more independent and useful. Imagine of this were a true life story. I'd bet Cinderella would be grateful that her stepmother taught her valuable skills. :)
Elvis Fonzie Dean 04-04-2010, 10:38 PM I bet she would have rather have had growing up not sucking ass.
Courtnee 04-05-2010, 08:59 PM I bet she would have rather have had growing up not sucking ass.
I agree. Cinderella would more than likely be in therapy due to years of emotional abuse.
Marvo301 04-05-2010, 09:14 PM Janice J. does make a valid point. Cinderella did learn far more life skills than her evil stepsisters ever did. And by the way we talk about TV characters on this message board all the time as if they were real. There's no reason we can't do the same thing with fairy tale characters.

Thank you, Marvo. :) That's what i was trying to get through with the word, "principle". The principle of the story is that she became more independent through her stepmother making her clean, sew, and cook. :)
spunkygirl 04-05-2010, 11:30 PM No offense intended, but I think I'm missing the point of this thread?

Janice Johnson was giving her viewpoint on the moral of the Cinderella story. Yes, I know Cinderella is a fairy tale.

I knew of a stripper who went by the creative name "Sinderella"
Elvis Fonzie Dean 04-07-2010, 06:23 PM Did you ever take off her clo...slippers?
Furienna 04-11-2010, 10:27 PM Janice Johnson, I actually think you might have a point. But I also agree with Courtnee, who said Cinderella would have needed therapy because of the emotional abuse.
