What do you think made Lucy more depressed? The end of Life With Lucy or the end of Here's Lucy and the mixed reviews of Mame. I think the latter though it took awhile (Lucy said she cleaned 6 months and fired her staff after Here's Lucy ended because she loved working and wanting to do something.) for her to recover over the end of her series. I sure it was hard for her because increasely they loved Lucy of the past and didn't give her due credit for her 1970s and 1980s appearances. Old age and modern Hollywood critics are awful to your happiness. What are your thoughts?

Lucy loved to work. And, I suppose we can all relate to what she went through by simply imagining what it must be like to be told you can't do something that you love to do and that you are good at. Despite her impressive body of work, the woman loved and needed to work. i don't know how she dealt with it, but it couldn't have been easy.

I would say the end of Life With Lucy, and Lucy not wanting to work with producers or someone who she would listen to for advice to make the show work. She had to have full control and didn't realize that what worked in the past wouldn't work now. I think they rushed the show into production without fully developing a premise.
