View Full Version : Cases that just didn't interest you (non-lost love or UFO or Physic or legends) sdb4884 03-31-2010, 09:22 AM The Doyle Wheeler case didn't interest me and really all the army/navy suicide vs murder cases really bore me to tears. Apostapler 03-31-2010, 10:19 AM The cloning one...I'm sorry it was just too funny. It's even more funny to watch it now. Hambone2421 03-31-2010, 12:20 PM The case about that statue that supposedly got women pregnant. Rain boy also was annoying and did not interest me. ididn'tdoit 03-31-2010, 01:39 PM The ones I couldn't stand when I was a kid were the Lost Loves and History segments (Zzzzzzzz....), and that holds pretty much to this day. I used to like the less popular UFO and Ghost segments though, but now I'm older and wiser... :D Although I have to admit some of them are intriguing, such as Betty Cash and Ed Walters and his flying paper plates :D Edit: Darn me for speed reading, I've just realized I've mentioned the unmentionable segments, sorry sdb4884 -.- sdb4884 03-31-2010, 10:56 PM The ones I couldn't stand when I was a kid were the Lost Loves and History segments (Zzzzzzzz....), and that holds pretty much to this day. Wamisto 04-01-2010, 09:47 AM It`s great that you put the ``(non-lost love or UFO or Physic or legends)`` caveat in there, because that pretty much comprises over 95 percent of the cases that don`t interest the average viewer. Personally, I am not big on the murder cases that profile famous people, like George Reeves (although the Bobby Fuller case for me was an exception - I liked that one). I am also not a fan of most of the cases where the purpotrators are middle eastern terrorists or mobsters, like in the Shafaa Salem case. MissFit29 04-03-2010, 12:45 PM I always used to groan when "The Unexplained" title came bouncing down the line. I totally dig the crime cases. Mastermind 04-04-2010, 04:18 PM Lost Loves Just too overly sentimental for me. Plus most of them are too easy to solve. Even easier nowadays. Have no problem with the pychic, ufo or strange legend cases. Some of UM's best cases involved those phenomenon. UM would not have survived without them. I don;t get why people hate Rainboy so much. It's not anymore unbelievable than any of the other psyhcic things (wasn;t the girl who teared gems and sweated tin foil more worthy of scorn??) Oldschooler81 04-04-2010, 11:41 PM Even though I prefer the wanted/missing persons cases too, I always at least enjoyed a few segments from each category. I think part of what made UM great was its variety, but I agree the majority of the UFO, psychic, treasure and legengs ones didn't interest me (there were a few exceptions like Brushy Bill). I think it's because you knew there wasn't gonna be an update, lol. In retrospect that would've been pretty funny! Lost Loves I'm on the fence with. Some of those I really did like because it was narrative or felt like going back in time (i.e. Patty English was I think the first one I got into, even though it was solved). rhzunam 04-05-2010, 12:50 AM Lost Loves. Also the majority of UFO cases. And the ones I least liked where the "famous person didn't met the untimely death that everyone think they did". But those I think would go into the segments I hate the most rather that the one I just wasn't interested in. soilentgreen 04-05-2010, 11:26 AM Jeffrey MacDonald, Glen Cosangra, and the George Reeves and Elvis segments (unlike the Rudolph Hess and Bobby Fuller suicide/homicide theories, which were interesting). Anything to do with exploding churches and school bomb miracles. Wamisto 04-05-2010, 01:05 PM Okay, the question said cases you don't like excluding UFO, lost loves, etc. You are all posting lost loves, UFOs, etc. A better way to ask the question would be this: are there any crime stories that you don't like or don't interest you? MegtheEgg86 04-05-2010, 03:23 PM Darlie freaking Routier. And I don't dislike the segment, but I'm not as interested in the John and Linda Sohus case as a lot of posters here are. tiddlywinks950 04-05-2010, 04:10 PM the fertility statues. i hate seeing it! and i'm probably going to get some scowls for this one, but the haunted bunk beds. everyone else seems so fascinated by it, and i got all hyped about it before i first saw it...and when i did, i was disappointed. rhzunam 04-05-2010, 05:30 PM Okay, the question said cases you don't like excluding UFO, lost loves, etc. You are all posting lost loves, UFOs, etc. A better way to ask the question would be this: are there any crime stories that you don't like or don't interest you? My bad. Well then it would be the "famous person didn't met the untimely death that everyone thinks they did". MissFit29 04-05-2010, 07:58 PM I misread the title too. Whoops! I'm not a big fan of the faith healer con artist stories. I think some of the victims are idiots, so I don't have a lot of sympathy for them. |
