"Psycho Legacy" Documentary on DVD This Year!

Can you believe it's been nearly three years since we first reported on "The Psycho Legacy", former Shock scribe Robert Galluzzo's thorough exploration of Alfred Hitchcock's film and its effect on the horror-thriller genre.
Well, some good news has come along. It appears "The Psycho Legacy" is making its way to DVD this October! That's according to Galluzzo himself on Facebook. (You can catch up on the documentary's production via its MySpace page - http://www.myspace.com/thepsycholegacy)
Full details are coming.
Galluzzo says, "I assure you, I will load it up with as much bonus content as I possibly can."

"The Psycho Legacy" is Coming!

Just in time for the 50th anniversary of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, the in-depth documentary "The Psycho Legacy" is coming to DVD October 19th from Shout! Factory.
We've seen bits and pieces of the doc and we can tell you that director Robert Galluzzo provides fans with an exhaustive look at the entire Psycho series with tons of great interviews and rare stills. We can't wait to check out the finished doc.
We don't have any info on disc details just yet but we do expect that info from Shout! Factory real soon. In the mean time you can check out "The Psycho Legacy" DVD cover and teaser trailer below.

The two-disc DVD is a comprehensive look at the series and will hit on October 19 from Shout! Factory.
Robert Galluzzo has spent many years working on this one and it sounds like it will not disappoint those fascinated by the story of Norman Bates.

Just when you thought it was safe to take a shower again, Shout! Factory is set to pull back the shower curtain and reveal The Psycho Legacy, a 2-Disc Special Edition DVD set that explores the history, impact and mystique of Psycho and the films that it spawned.
In addition to the 90-minute documentary feature by filmmaker Robert V. Galluzzo, the set boasts more than three hours of bonus material, including extended interviews, an hour panel discussion with Psycho star Anthony Perkins, Psycho on the Web, a tour of the Bates Motel, and much, much more.
Due in stores nationwide October 19, 2010, just in time to celebrate Psycho's 50th anniversary, Bloody Disgusting scored an exclusive look at the new doc that premieres at this coming week's Screamfest Film Festival in Los Angeles (Tuesday, October 19), with a DVD release party set up for the same night at Hyaena Gallery (1928 W. Olive Ave. Burbank, CA).
