Learned from where? I've checked most of the credible online sources and there's nothing that confirms her passing.

I see no links either but if you look her name up on Wikipedia it has her date of death....

She is not famous enough to have a hollywood obit I suppose.

Wikipedia is not exactly a reliable source, as anyone and everyone can edit it. That's the only website I found that mentioned her "death".

...is only as accurate as the people who provide information for it. Most of the time, they contribute accurate information. However, some of it might be "heresay"; some of it is certainly "unconfirmed" or the result of a misunderstanding. Again, it all depends on the contributor who provided the information.

As far as I know, Fess Parker, Robert Culp, June Havoc and Cherie DeCastro [of The DeCastro Sisters] have recently passed away :( . I have not read or heard anything about Janis Hansen also being deceased, as yet....that's not to say it hasn't happened. But there is not one confirmation from any "official" source {outside of Wikipedia} so far- or any Google searches turning up a death notice.

We'll have to wait and see.

Wikipedia has a separate page for notable passings for each year and any entrys on that page must include a reliable reference source or they will be deleted and Janis Hansen's name hasn't been added yet. I use that page as a source of information whenever I post an obit here but only if a verifiable link is provided. If the person is listed as deceased on their main Wikipedia page with no reference then I consider it a rumour.

No one has lost their frigging minds and you don't have to apologize for posting it. I've done the same thing myself. I've trusted IMDb and Wikipedia in the past and posted obits without a reliable news source and it turned out that they were still alive and well so I don't post anything without some proof to back it up.

No, but I'm sure Janis Hansen is.

Nothing wrong with posting you heard something, people just want it to be backed up when stated as fact.
Considering we are talking about someone being dead.

IMDB still hasn't mentioned anything; so I'm guessing/hoping Ms. Hansen is alive and well.

She owns a fairly prominent talent agency in the Los Angeles area. I think if she had died, there would have been some mention of it somewhere.
