Rather than wait until September to start season 2 I thought I would just pick up with it the week after.
Not a favourite episode of mine but on the whole it's watchable.
Right, the 'In Color' bumper at the start has a new and improved jingle IMO.
Greg is quite rude at first when Mike tries to introduce Don.
The swingset is moved whilst the kids play. Surely it shouldn't be something that could easily be moved about the garden for reasons of safety?
In the family room there are new pictures and shelving units. The tv is under one of the shelving units near the door to the kitchen. The round table is now present in the family room.
The seldom used shot of Mike walking up the drive in his brown suit is used here though when we cut to the studio he is holding a briefcase which he wasn't carrying up the drive.
Blooper - in the wideshot Marcia puts the plates under the tap and turns it on but in her close up the tap is off and she reaches to put it on again.
Barry Williams looks very good playing an upset Greg at the end of the episode.
When the squares appear at the close of part 2 the picture has a strange jump just before the squares start appearing.
The tag continues straight from the end of part 2. It is the same camera angle. The tag also lasts about 18 seconds.
In the closing credits Alice is looped and looks at no one. Mike and Carol also hardly look at anyone and right at the end Mikes bit of film is played backwards.
