View Full Version : Have there been any news on The Lucy Show Official Second Season?
Timoth26 03-27-2010, 02:29 PM Hey, I was just wondering. Have anybody heard any news or anything about the Official Second Season of The Lucy Show? I've looked on TVShowsOnDVD.com many times and they haven't updated since sometime in November. It's been almost a year since the first season came out last July.
So, have there yet been any mentioning of The Second Season or even the third season of "Here's Lucy"? Are they still planning on releasing anymore The Lucy Show DVDs? Please let me know. Thanks.

The third season of Here's Lucy was announced a couple of weeks back:

Nothing official yet on season two for TLS.
Robert 13 03-28-2010, 06:11 PM Unfortunately, no news yet on Season 2 of "The Lucy Show". Maybe soon? Although I was informed by someone working on that project that the projected October date for Season 3 was not probable. So CBS/Paramount might be going the 1-set-a-year route with this show. However, this second season set is said to be quite a jam-packed set. Not sure what they have in store for it but it is supposed to live up to the Season 1 release. We should be hearing something, I would think, by the middle of April. :)

Well, I do know they did a sit-down interview with a certain somebody who appeared in many episodes. I don't know if I'm at liberty to say who, but suffice it to say there is definitely a season two set coming.
MichaelKeith 04-01-2010, 11:51 AM LittleRickyII, that is good news!! I love The Lucy Show because of how well Lucy and Vivian play off each other. I am eagerly awaiting the release of season 2 of TLS so that I can purchase and enjoy it! :D
Robert 13 04-01-2010, 03:30 PM Hmmmm, I'm thinking it might be Candy Moore. That would be great. Or possibly Ralph Hart.
Jude The Obscure 04-01-2010, 08:37 PM It has to be one of those two since there is no one else around from the series who appeared in a lot of episodes other than the kids. We had Jimmy on season 1.
It's time for an announcement to come out--if the rumor of July being the release date to be true.

Nope. ;)
Superbatboy 04-06-2010, 12:50 AM I can't wait until they release season 2. I've watched season 1 so many times now,

Could it be C.C. ?
Jude The Obscure 04-07-2010, 08:36 PM Well since Carole Cook is still among us and she did appear throughout the years in various roles, but mainly as Mrs Valance in the Danfield era. So she is a good possibility. but still why can't they get Candy and Ralph as well?

It would be fun to hear Carol Cook's memories of working with Lucy. But I agree with you Jude it would be great to see interviews with Candy and Ralph.

I think I read somewhere that Ralph wasn't interested in appearing in anything. As for Candy, there were pictures of her online appearing at some Lucy event. Not sure why she couldn't be included. That would be great! :)
Jude The Obscure 04-08-2010, 09:32 PM Ralph did do interviews with the author of "The Lucy Book"
so I don't see why he would turn down this.
McGillicuddy 04-09-2010, 06:27 PM Carole Cook is included with more that a dozen people in Lucy's life among the interviewies on the Lucy & Desi: A Home Movie dvd release, so I imagine it could very well be her!
By the way, LittleRicky doesn't say if this is a recently recorded interview, maybe its someone who's no longer with us? It would be awesome if it was Mary Jane!!!!

Or Dick Martin! Or Charles Lane!
LittleRickyII 05-04-2010, 06:51 PM Nope. ;)
I need to modify my previous statements. It turns out there are two interviews on the second season set. I had only been aware of one interview. I know who one of the interviewees is, I don't know who the other is. The interview I know about is not with Candy Moore or Ralph Hart. Whether the other interview is with either or both of them, I don't know. So that may be a possibility. I know a year ago neither of them was interested in doing an interview, but they may have had their arms twisted since then. But bottom line, this is what I can say: one of the interviews is with someone who is definitely not Candy or Ralph, but who appeared a number of times on the show (that's all I'll say about that); and the other interview, I don't know who it is.

Now that the publicity is officially out, I can now confirm that, yes, it's Carole Cook. So you guessed right. ;) Barry Livingston (My Three Sons) is also interviewed; he appeared in the episode that introduced Gale Gordon to the series.
McGillicuddy 07-12-2010, 08:37 PM I once saw Mary Jane Croft (I think shortly before her passing) at some sort of Lucy Symposium being interviewed and answering questions from an audience. I must not have seen very much of it, but I think it was taped during a Lucy Convention in Jamestown, NY., but I'm not sure.
Anybody familiar with this? I sure wish it could be included on one of the future Lucy Show or Here's Lucy season sets.
