Shout released Season 4 this past Tuesday to very little fanfare. The set isn't getting a whole lot of recognition. So be sure to spread the word to anyone who might be interested so we can guarantee the final 2 seasons.
The set is amazing! Excellent quality and the wonderful series continues with such great episodes. I haven't made my way through all of the episodes just yet but it is a very handsome set. The front pic (almost identical to Season 1) looks much better in person than in the snapshots we've seen online. The discs each have a close-up photo of each Anderson as depicted on the cover. The great thing about this set are the episodes. So go out and grab this set if you haven't already. You will be so happy that you did. :)

I just got my season 4 set a few days ago. I have only watched the Medal For Margaret episode so far. It was great!

I watched "Mr. Beal Meets His Match" last night. After all I had heard about the episode, I was very surprised that it was not included in the syndicated reruns of the show. I was expecting a very dark episode. While a bit suspenseful, it was still very much in the tradition of "Father Knows Best". It was a bit of a change from their usual shows. But it was very good. I love how Betty is narrating the story and the whole family becomes intrigued. Very well done. :)

A lot of the episodes are new to me since the package in the '80s was roughly the same 125 episodes ran over and over.
I also hate that we can't get the original openings for each season restored. For season 4 we have that opening that was used for ABC primetime reruns, with music badly edited near the end as you hear a portion of season 1's theme still lopped on.

Hey guys! I don't know how long this will last, but as I'm writing this post Amazon.com has Season Four on sale for $22.49. It was over $30 before.

The magazine "Entertainment Weekly" seems to be a fan of Shout product or its a payback for advertising ......Shout purchases full page ads in the magazine on a regular basis, in fact two issues ago, it featured and pictured 11 releases in one ad including the website only releases...I was proud to own 9 of the 11 pictured! so don't worry, they are promoting their releases.........in response.........Entertainment Weekly twice had pictures and promoted the release of "Small Wonder" in two very high profile regular featured columns...at first it was in their inside back cover "Bullseye" section and the following week it was featured as the #2 "Things we can't miss this week"....that section is right in the first few pages and usually features things like American Idol and high profile pop culture items!

I received my set over the weekend - yay! It was very cool seeing a pre-Jeannie Barbara Eden in "The Rivals."

Watched the bonus episode of Window On Main Street, "The Boy Who Had It Made." Wow what a great episode, the story of a young man who aspires to go away to college vs. his stubborn old fashioned father who doesn't understand why his son isn't interested in staying on and continuing the tradition of the family business, in this case a gas station. At the end everything is happy and the father proudly sees his son off to college. Great story, well made and well done. I hope these bonus episodes on the Father Knows Best sets are just a teaser and Shout! Factory will eventually put this entire, one season series out on DVD. A gem of a show which must have been up against tough competition in 1961-62, ratings were low thus the cancellation after just one season.

^It didn't help that Robert Young was competing against himself as CBS reran Father Knows Best in primetime the same year Window was on CBS.

finally got around to watching the rest of Season 4! A most enjoyable season with standout performances from both Elinor Donahue and Billy Gray. I was amazed at how snobbish Betty was in several episodes and the sibling rivalry between her and Bud was really fierce!!
