And it was near the fifth anniversary of her dying, at that! First Trig Palin, now Terri Schiavo!

I think we should do an animated cartoon of Seth McFarlane engaged in a rather compromising position with a big name male liberal politician--or something similarly unflattering.

My God, is nothing sacred anymore??

To answer your question, Greg - no. There's a difference between pushing the envelope and crossing the line. SM crosses it regularly. How'd he feel if it was his family member being defamed like that??

I should probably know this, but I'm forgetting, what's SM again?

I can imagine that if Nazi Germany had animated cartoons being aired, they'd show 'Family Guy' episodes like this. ohno:

McFarlane and Michael Moore would make a great couple, lol.

Same old crap again...

Nothing regular viewers of Family Guy aren't used to.

Great idea!! I'd make a toon with Family Guy-style animation, Moore can look like Peter Griffin (comparisons between the two have been actually made on the show), and he can make a *documentary* while MacFarlane can dress up like Hillary Clinton in a female Soviet commissar uniform and a cattle prod. With a bucket of fried chicken.

They're vacationing in beautiful Cuba.

Family Guy does stuff like this all the time....it's not really that shocking.

Actually, there was an awkward moment on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien a while back (obviously). Both Seth MacFarlane and Michael Moore were the guests. When Seth was mentioning the people he got to do their voices on the show, Michael mentioned how they had him in an episode, but he was not asked to come on the show and provide his own voice. Seth didn't seem to know how to answer that. It just seemed like an awkward moment to me.

The name of the show could be "The Very Odd Couple."

The only reason it's not shocking is because Family Guy has done this sort of thing so often it has lost it's shock value. That doesn't it make it right. In fact it's wrong and it's disgusting and there's absolutely nothing funny about it!

Speaking of Michael Moore, isn't it ironic that both he and Obama have made their big schpiels about healthcare reform, and yet both are not living the healthiest lifestyles? Obama smokes, and Moore looks like he's had one too many Happy Meals (even though he says he lost about 60 pounds--must have
accomplished that by performing projectile vomiting while watching his own movies. puke:).

Just like with the Trig Palin influenced skit, McFarlane of course has the right to joke about anything he wants and I'll always defend that right.

But of course I also have the right to say that I think this type of humor is really beneath him and that it is another reason I've given up on the show.

Boy, Seth, you're really good at going after people who are defenseless (or dead). Whatever happened to parodying people in power? And while we're at it, whatever happened to your creativity? Used to be that your shows had actual plots that you could follow and weren't just flimsy frameworks for gross out jokes.

Family Guy reminds me of a big bowl of popcorn. It seems like all the good stuff was at the top and now we are down to the bottom and all that's left are seeds and "old maids". When I get to that point, I don't keep eating, I throw the whole damned thing out.

"Family Guy" is trying TOO hard.

My fast this year is about to come to a close, but I've been silent enough.

Now since another site I go to that talks about cartoons...but not Politics nor Religion...I may mention "Has Family Guy gone TOO far"?
