...but Jeannie was only seen as a "housewife" during the last half of the last season- she didn't have that long to establish herself as one. Knowing her character, though, she would have divided her time "trying" to be one, and using her magic to help her in certain cases [say, a situation like this: "Oh, dear, Anthony wants me to meet him for lunch at the base, and this living room is such a....*bleech!*....oh, I know---- (stands in the middle of it, folds her arms and blinks....and all the living room furniture is suddenly "doll-sized" in the middle of the room. Jeannie kneels in front of the toy-sized furnishings, gently blows on it, steps back, blinks again...and the furniture is full-sized again, in place...and clean!) There! That will take care of it for today...oh, I am a very good housewife...."].

And as for 'B-Rant's comment on Jeannie's "belly button revealing outfits" (as the writer claims in the article), except for Barbara casually lowering the waistband of her harem pants a bit on occasion- in later episodes- briefly flaunting her "forbidden navel" in direct violation of NBC's "no navels" edict, there were none. The mini-skirts she wore during the final season made up for them, though.

{and besides, "Peg Bundy" ["MARRIED WITH CHILDREN"] was actually the world's WORST housewife! She never cleaned or kept a tidy house ("Peg, why isn't this house clean?"/"Oh, I figured some kind soul passing by would show up and make it cleaner."/"Uh-huh....and I bet she'd be a whiz in the bedroom, too."/"In your case, Al....probably not."). The only thing going for her was her sexual appeal....}
