At the start of the episode Alice enters the girls room from the direction of the yet to appear attic door.

Jan opens her box away from her rather than towards her.

The first scene after the tag with the girls is very short. Only Jan speaks and just as the scene flops it looks like Marcia was about to speak suggesting that a longer scene was cut probably due to timing reasons.

It was established that Carol had a friend called Martha. She now has an Aunt Martha too as well as a sister who has a husband called Roger.

The establishing shot of Mikes office at night looks like it might have been filmed at night. As we know the building itself is a library. It makes me wonder whether the establishing shot was actually stock footage from some other production rather than being filmed for the show itself?

Is this the only time Carol and Alice visit Mikes office?

During the re-enactment the tap is running when Bobby brushes his teeth. He leaves it running when he chucks his toothbrush into the sink.

Look at the floor near the door to the girls room when Greg and Alice enter just after the locket is found as you can see their marks on the floor. They look like strips of black tape.

During the last scene between Alice and Jan you can see that the door to the utility room is open and you can see cupboards on the wall.

Very observant! :)

The one thing that bothers me about this one is Alice's flippant attitude about Peter--he is a middle child, but because he is a boy, it doesn't matter--what kind of crock of sh** is that???

I guess she meant that Peter as a boy is probably less troubled by his emotions that middle child Jan. Let's face it though, Jan did have those problems whereas Peter did not.

But there is no way Alice could have known that.....it was still a stupid thing to say IMO.

Jan only had those problems because the writers wrote her that way

As I recall, Peter suffered his own concerns such as the confidence/personality episode, the episode he got fired from his first job, where he thought Greg stole his girl, where he sought attention by tape recording everyone secretly, where he couldn't handle sudden fame from the toy shop rescue........it may not come across as neurotic as Jan, but just the same :)

I agree, I had two brothers and a sister, my older brother was the oldest, my younger brother was the youngest and my sister was the only girl. Where did that leave me?

I think Alice sympathized with Jan more because she was her own gender.
