if both of these sitcom towns were real and you had the chance to live in one of them wich would it be personally i would rather live in mayfeild than mayberry it just seemes like a more convenent place to live what with friends lake and bellport near by and mayfeild has more nightlfe too with hanks bar where as in maybery to quote barney fife they roll up the sidewalks every night and you ether have to go into mount pilot or raliegh [sp to do anything besides go to the rec center and watch nature slides on the plus side they both have very little crime but mayberry has less crime than mayfield so that is a point in mayberry;s favor on the minus side the picture show only runs at night whereas in mayfeild they have saturday and sunday matnees there is dancing in both towns so ether one is great if you like dancing the people as a whole seem nicer in mayberry so that is another is another point in favor of mayberry .on the minus side helen crump seemes like a majior jerk to put it mildly where most of the teachers at grant ave. school in mayfeild seem to really care about the students is shot mayberry seemes like a great getaway town to spend a weekend and relax where mayfeild seemes like a progressive town to live and work in imho wich town would all of you rather live in and why?

I would rather live in Mayfield. It reminds me a little of what my home town was like when I was growing up.

Probably Mayberry because I wouldn't have to fend off Eddie Haskell, or Judy, or any of Beaver's slimy little buddies (Gilbert, Richard, etc.). I wouldn't mind living with the Taylors and eating Aunt Bee's wonderful meals. Plus, I love the fact that the biggest criminal is Otis, who locks himself up in the cell.

I'd pick Mayberry too.

Has anyone ever heard Rascal Flatts' song, Mayberry?

This is a difficult question though given both pluses and minuses for both I'd choose Mayfield since there is more to do. Mayberry would be great for a weekend getaway.

I'd rather live in Mayberry because it's a small town and all the people seem like fun people to know and hang out with.

Mayfield

Never a dully moment with Eddie, Gilbert, and Lumpy around. Plus I want to hang out with Gus the Fireman.

Always wanted to live in Mayberry....that sleepy little town where you can sit on the swing on your porch and enjoy Aunt Bea's homemade lemonade.

Mayfield actually was very close to the suburb that I did grow up in so been there, done that. I like the idea of the more southern weather more too.

Yes!! Aunt Bee, Floyd, Johnny Paul Jason...even Otis was a good guy. He was always paying his debt to society by locking himself up in the cell!! :D

He's the guy to go to for the cool stories, plus if your horse is sick in the garage- he's just a phone call away.
