I remember seeing that episode of The Honeymooners with Ed wearing a space helmet and watching Captain Video. I always wondered about Captain Video. It makes sense that it was a Dumont show since the Honeymooners were on that network. Rest in Peace Albert E. Hodge aka Captain Video.

It's too bad that not many episodes of Captain Video even exist. :(

Isn't it only like 40 or so shows exist, or is it less than that?

According to Wikipedia, UCLA has 24 episodes and there are 5 episodes in the public domain. I don't know if they are included in the ones that UCLA has. It would be nice if they were released on DVD like the Goldbergs were.

According to IMDB.com most of the kinescopes of Captain Video were destroyed for their silver content. Apparently some brilliant person thought the silver in the filmstock was more valuable than than the program recorded on the film. Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!
