ABC's Desperate Housewives has cast Diane Farr, a vet of such series as Numb3rs, Californication, Roswell and Rescue Me, as a character who interacts with the ladies of Wisteria Lane in a late April episode.
It is the third time the show has devoted an entire hour to a newcomer, following Beau Bridges' Emmy-nominated role last season as a beloved handyman and, more recently, an episode revolving around Robin, Julie Benz's stripper with a heart of gold. Both of those characters touched the ladies' lives in positive ways, but I'm not so sure we should expect the same from Diane's mysterious character. According to my source, Diane, 40, "is part of a special episode (involving) things that happen in the suburbs...evil kind of things."
