Don't get me wrong, I am sure Matthew Broderick is a great guy. I loved him in Ferris Beuller and he's had a couple of modest hits in his Hollywood career. However, it seems that every big potential movie franchise or certain big budget movie he signs on for, has turned into flops or disappointments.
Ted Mcginley is infamous for joining tv shows that were hits and have them end not too soon after his arrival. Is there an odd connection between these two actors?

I don't think so, it's just the way his career is going. Ted on the other hand was not in shows that ended right after he joined the cast. He did 4 seasons on Happy Days which was pretty good for him and he completed 8 seasons on Married with Children. Even the Love Boat Ted did 4 seasons on a show which was running out of steam with the departure of Lauren Tewes who was Julie McCoy the original cruise director. I don't think it's fair of you to say that about Ted, he's had a successful career as a fill in if you will. As for Matthew Broderick, a film career is hard to do if you don't have that charisma or "it" factor. Look at the flops John Cusack has been in and he's been around just as long.

I like every Matthew Broderick movie I saw so far.
- Election (1999)
- Godzilla (1998)
- The Cable Guy (1996)
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)
- WarGames (1983)
As for Ted goes, he successfully managed to fit into the Married with Children (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=84) cast.
