Former heavyweight boxing champion and ex-con Mike Tyson will soon be adding TV star to his resume, reports B&C.

Animal Planet has ordered a new show, tentatively called "Taking on Tyson," in which the pugilist will take viewers into the world of competitive pigeon racing and breeding.

Tyson has raised pigeons for years and the show will detail how he got into the sport and what it's all about. The show will film in New York.

This may be the most bizarre reality show I've ever heard of - and that's saying a lot! :eek: :crazy:

There's a heart-warming episode: "Mike's Pigeons", Mike Tyson's dad buys him two pigeons, but Mike gets sick with chicken pox, so Mike's older brother has to care for them. But then Mike's friend George Foreman brings his pigeons(George and George)over because George's family is leaving for the weekend so Mike's older brother watches them too. Then a neighborhood cat eats two of the pigeons.

A very touching moment is when Mike watches out his bedroom window while Mike's older brother, and Mike's two friends George and Evander bury Mike's pigeons.

As one of my friends said, "I always knew he was for the birds!" :lol: If he bites the head off one of the birds a la Ozzy, I wouldn't be surprised at all. :eek: Then he'd have PETA to deal with! *evil laugh*
