do you mostly rent, or buy them? Why or why not? Do you mostly watch DVDs of TV shows or movies? Do you mostly watch the "extras" first or not? If you get TV shows is it mostly old shows or new ones?

I watch mostly TV shows on DVD. I buy them. Most of the shows I buy on DVD are older shows from the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

I mainly rent movies. I have a collection of movies I have bought. When it comes to tv shows it depends. Some I only rent. Some I rent and then later buy. Some I buy. Such as Family Ties (of course), there was no need to determine if I would buy the seasons, it was an absolute, lol.
The tv dvds I have include: Family Ties 1-5, Frasier 1-11, Full House 1-8, King Of Queens 1-9, Everybody Loves Raymond 1-6, 7th Heaven 1-5, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman 1-4, Friends 1-3, Punky Brewster 1 & 2, ALF 1 & 2, Growing Pains 1, Silver Spoons 1, Charles In Charge 1, and Night Court 1.

I used to buy a lot, but nowadays I tend to rent. Recently I rented the first four SAW films and To Kill A Mockingbird.

I buy movies that I know that I want(mostly it's older films finally getting released on DVD) If we rent a movie and like it, we might buy it.
Watch both TV and movies on DVD about the same.
If I've already seen the movie and have just bought the DVD I'll probably watch the extras/listen to the commentary.

I buy them but mostly (90-95%) of TV shows I like. I'd much rather watch a DVD then subscribe to cable. Once in a very blue moon I rent. The only movies I buy are the classics which I like to watch more than once (ex's Citizen Kane, The Best Years Of Our Lives, etc.). Right now I'm watching Petticoat Junc. which I boght on sale around Xmas @ J&R

I bought a PS3 about a month ago so I'm starting to get into buying Blu-Rays more. I have a netflix subscription and I haven't been buying too many DVD's lately. I do buy a lot of TV shows on DVD.

Since the majority of the stuff I watch is either documentaries, or stuff from the stone age, I usually buy my videos. Sometimes I check things out from the library. I only rent movies maybe about seven times a year.

I usually buy movies that I really liked when I first saw them on the theater and movies that I rented and liked. As for TV-DVD's, I mostly buy shows that I liked when I was younger or shows that I haven't seen in a long time and are no longer aired. I have bought movies and shows that I had never seen before but most of them are classics (Breakfast at Tiffany's, To Catch A Thief,...).

I really don't care about extras. When I buy DVD's if the single disc version without any extras is available I usually buy that one.
