And back in Quahog, Family Guy is gearing up for a few specially-themed – and longer – episodes, including the season premiere in September and a Christmas musical.

“The season premiere will be an hour-long murder mystery based on the movie "Clue" -- very cinematic, and Seth loves music and scoring, and there's going to be some people who may or may not make it through the night,” revealed executive producer Danny Smith.

Producer Kara Vallow went even further revealing, “Someone gets offed!” So who is it? Producers wouldn’t say, but you’ll have to wait till September.

Other guest stars include Family Ties husband and wife Meredith Baxter Bernie and Michael Gross and "Back to the Future"’s Leah Thompson.

But the one thing everyone’s been waiting for is the next "Star Wars episode" – "Return of the Jedi" – animation which is in pre-production, Vallow said, and will be going straight to DVD.

So would MacFarlane like to tackle yet another movie parody, maybe another one of his favorites, "Star Trek"?

“Yeah, that would be a good time. 'The Wrath of Khan' would be a logical one for us to do…[But] it's all about legal rights,” added MacFarlane. “It's all about who will give us the rights and [George] Lucas was incredibly cool about it. His company is very progressive and I don't know that Paramount would say yes. We haven’t asked to them yet.”
