Cindy Brady and Carol Brady -- The Brady Bunch -- each had at least 3 different styles in the 5-season run of the series (styles that were season-long).

Mary Richards (The Mary Tyler Moore Show) I would say changed her hair style almost every season. Of course the first season was a wig.

Laura Petrie's hairstyle changed a couple times on "THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW".
And Frasier had a beard the last season of "CHEERS". (he shaved it off for "FRASIER" because they thought audiences wouldn't accept John Mahoney as his father)

Willis Jackson (Diff'rent Strokes) - he originally had the '70s fro, then he had an early '80s head shape prior to sometime in the early parts of the mid '80s where for a short time had shaved his head and had very short hair and then for the final season he had the Michael Jackson-like Jeri Curl '80s fro.

Theo Huxtable (The Cosby Show) - he started off with the '80s mini-fro hairstyle. Then he had the flat top, coupled with a rat tail. Towards the end, he just had a straight flat top.

Alice Hyatt (Linda Lavin) - originally had longer hair in earlier seasons. Then slightly shorter hair in the middle of the run, then she had the female crew cut-like hairstyle, similar to Susan Clark's style from Webster, and finally back to the mini-long hair style.

In fact, a lot of '80s shows had many of its characters changing their hairstyles during their runs.

When Bonnie Franklin cut her hair she looked better and lot more attractive. She got out of that plain jane look they gave her in the first two seasons.

Yes, EM did a lot experimenting with her hair throughout the show. All her hairdos looked great on her. :D
