"The Emeril Lagasse Show," a new weekly, entertainment television show featuring celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse. The original, primetime series will be recorded before a live studio audience and will capture Emeril's passion for people, entertainment, music, food and celebration. The hour long program will air on Sundays at 8pm beginning April 18.
"The Emeril Lagasse Show" will feature one of America's most popular chefs as he has never been seen before. Each week, Emeril will welcome celebrity guests, musicians and entertainers to break news and break bread as Emeril shares his world, his friends and his passions with the studio audience and viewers at home. A house band will be on set, playing live music and interacting with Emeril, guests and audience. The show also will include entertaining and surprising field pieces that will be shot in and around New York City where the show will be taped. TV veteran Karen Katz and After Five Productions, which executive produced Lagasse's long-running Food Network series, "Emeril Live," will be executive producer of "The Emeril Lagasse Show."

New York, NY - March 8, 2010 -- Emeril Lagasse is ready to show viewers that there’s more to him than -- BAM! Today, ION Television announces that Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz has been named the bandleader for its first original non-scripted series, "The Emeril Lagasse Show." Viewers will feel like part of the celebration as they are welcomed to join Emeril’s home-like set each week. Emeril, with the help of his band, led by Dave Koz, will welcome celebrity guests and musicians to break news and break bread as he shares his world, his friends and his passion for food with the studio and home audience.

The new weekly, entertainment television show featuring celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse will premiere on Sunday, April 18, at 8:00 PM, ET. The one-hour variety show combines Emeril’s love of food, entertaining, music and fun as he gives new meaning to the term, “let the good times roll.”

Every episode of “The Emeril Lagasse Show” will feature a themed-celebration, with the series’ premiere to kick off with a proper “Housewarming Party,” where some of Emeril’s special friends and new neighbors will drop by to welcome him to the neighborhood. Other themes will include “Sports Night,” in which Emeril throws a big tailgater on the set with one of America’s favorite sports heroes; “Now That’s Italian” features a world renowned Italian chef who stops by for an Italian cooking duel with Emeril; “Heartland/Country” celebrates the music and food of our nation’s heartland with one of Nashville’s favorite music stars; “Family Show” welcomes kids and all things family, including Emeril’s son E.J., who cooks up his own signature dish; and “Emeril’s Favorite Things” lets fans get up close and personal with our host.

i wish they would go back showing classic. theirs hardly ever any more classic on tv expect for retero or wgn. i been watching bewtiched on tv land. i don't think my name is earl should be on ion. it stupide show. it comes on tbs and fox all the time. please why show mash? it comes on 50 stations. why show family fude so much? bring back the Wonder Years or Mammas family. bring back the classics. stop showing too much family fude.

ION maintained its steady pace with a set of numbers last week very much in line with their season-to-date averages:

This is the 15th week out of the last 16 weeks where ION has exceeded the one million viewer level.

With their upcoming sked adjustments, ION might just see a third season (Weeks 27-35) lift in their numbers, giving them a lift going into summer season (Weeks 36-52) which they just might win head-to-head versus The CW for the first time ever.

New York, NY - April 1, 2010 -- Emeril Lagasse will host an A-list roster of celebrity friends at weekly celebrations on his new ION Television series, "The Emeril Lagasse Show," launching Sunday, April 18, at 8:00 PM, ET with a housewarming party-themed premiere featuring special guest Martha Stewart. The upcoming season of the network’s first original series will also feature a diverse line-up of guests, including football hero Eli Manning, chef/author/restauranteur Mario Batali, rock musician Sammy Hagar, actor Steve Schirripa (“Sopranos”), actress Jennie Garth (“90210”), and everybody’s favorite red furry friend, Elmo, among many others.

In this new weekly, one-hour variety television show, Chef Emeril Lagasse, with the help of acclaimed bandleader Dave Koz and The Kozmos house band, will share his world, his friends and his passion for food with the studio and home audience. Each week, viewers will be welcomed into an evening of food, entertainment, music and fun and games as Emeril gives new meaning to the term, “let the good times roll.” Audience members will have opportunities to cook on stage and play games to win the weekly prize in The Big Bam Box. Every episode of “The Emeril Lagasse Show” will feature a themed celebration. The series premiere will kick off with a proper “Emeril’s Housewarming Party,” attended by the world’s most celebrated hostess, Martha Stewart. Singer Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny’s Child, will add to the excitement by performing “Roxie” from her hit show, “ Chicago .”

· Emeril goes country in “Emeril’s Heartland” when Jennie Garth swings by to whip up the most comforting of comfort foods, and musical guest, Lonestar, helps Emeril lasso some authentic cowboy flavor with great tunes.



· “A Family Affair” features special guest Elmo and Emeril’s family for an hour of fun, music and, of course, food. Emeril's son E.J. and daughter Meril reveal the apples don’t fall far from the tree when each creates their own signature dish.



· Love is all around on the “Romance is in the Air” episode when Allison Sweeney of “Days of Our Lives” and “The Biggest Loser,” visits for a crash course in the art of romance.



· Bryan Batt of “Mad Men” visits the show for the “Blasts from the Past,” hour. Memories of parties past are stirred up with the food, drinks and music that have defined decades.



· Chef and Restaurateur Tom Colicchio of “Top Chef” and Chef Gale Gand join the fun for the “Emeril’s Favorites” hour where Emeril shares some of his favorite foods while musical guest The Ebony Hillbillies drop in for a song.



· Emeril demonstrates how to throw an inexpensive yet fabulous bash in the “BAM for Your Buck” episode. CNBC anchor Maria “Money Honey” Bartiromo of “Closing Bell” stops by and musical guests STOMP pump up the volume.



· In the “Do-It-Yourself” episode, “Project Runway’s” Tim Gunn helps Emeril put together a home-made hour of fun with musical guest Bo Bice (“American Idol”).



· “The View” Co-Host Sherri Shepherd and Emeril pair up for the “Staycation” hour, sharing fun-filled vacation ideas without the travel hassles.

I gotta admit I think the Emeril Lagasse Show will do well for Ion. It's also the first show to make me want to watch the channel again (after all the classics were dumped). They still rely on Family Feud a tad too much.....why not acquire other game shows and make a game show block?
