For the most part I liked the jokes on this show, but every so often there would be one that seemed in bad taste to me. For instance, in one episode, Rose told a story about how when she was a little girl, the doctor made her completely undress for a surgical procedure when it wasn't necessary for her to. That was beyond funny in my opinion.
Can anyone think of any other jokes which they thought bordered on innappropriate?

When Sophia joked about Rose being put on this earth because the rythem method was very popular in the twenties!

Well, any time they were REAL harsh in regards to Bea's looks (even though the lines were great comedy). But, Bea had to have had a sense of humor about the fact that she wasn't a typically beautiful woman.

Blanche seemed to like it when they referred to her as easy and usually laughed off Sophia's slut jokes.

I know everyone loves Sophia but even in real life many of them jokes hurt Bea Arthur in real life. Nowadays her so called humor would be considered a form of child abuse. Then when Blanches daughter visited and she belted out insult after insult but as soon as the boyfriend starts talking about how fat she is, he's so"awful". Wow. Talk about hypocrites. Guess fat jokes are only funny when they are doing the insulting. Anyone else is just mean.

Season 5, Episode 17. I can't believe standards and practices permitted this joke to make it to air! It is great, but lurid.

Blanche: I just keep remembering how you're not supposed to overload electrical outlets.

Rose: Maybe you just shouldn't make love when you're wet.
