Sandra Bullock has earned a few honors in Hollywood, "America's Sweetheart" among them, and on Saturday she was crowned with the dubious title of worst actress of 2009, one day before she's favored to win an Oscar.

Bullock, whose drama "The Blind Side" has made her the odds-on favorite to claim the best actress Oscar, was given a Razzie Award for worst female performance in "All About Steve." No performer has ever won a Razzie and an Oscar the same year.

The actress played a socially awkward designer of newspaper crosswords, who falls in love with a cameraman (Bradley Cooper) and stalks him in the movie.

Organizers of the Razzies, an annual event that began in 1980 to spoof the glitzy Oscars, which take place on Sunday, also named Bullock and Cooper the worst screen couple of 2009.

Hollywood stars are rare sightings at the Razzies, but in 2005 Halle Berry sportingly claimed her award for "Catwoman," and brought along the Oscar she had previously won for her role in "Monster's Ball."

The Razzies this year also turned their inside Hollywood sarcasm on one of the biggest box office hits of 2009, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The critically panned blockbuster was named worst film, and organizers bestowed a second trophy of shame upon its director Michael Bay.

Special awards were given for the past decade. The 2000 film "Battlefield Earth," based on the writings of Scientology creator L. Ron Hubbard, was named worst picture of the decade.

Comedian Eddie Murphy, who has had several box office duds in recent years, and Paris Hilton were named the worst actor and actress of the 2000s, respectively.

The so-called "winners" were determined by mailing ballots to 657 voters in the United States and 19 foreign countries.

Following is a list of 2009 Razzie winners:

Worst picture: "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"

Worst actor: The Jonas Brothers ("Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience")

Worst actress: Sandra Bullock ("All About Steve")

Worst supporting actor: Billy Ray Cyrus ("Hannah Montana: The Movie")

Worst supporting actress: Sienna Miller ("G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra")

Worst screen couple: Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper ("All About Steve")

Worst screenplay: "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"

Worst director: Michael Bay ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen")

Worst remake/rip-off or sequel: "Land of the Lost"

So the ones who voted her worst actress saw The Blindside did they? What - with blinders on themselves.

She rocked that movie.

Yah, like I want to hear Meryl Streep do one of her accents again.....
with all due respect, let's face it - you put Jerry Springer in a dress and he could do Julia Child. ;)

It's not for her performance in The Blind Side, it's for All About Steve

Sandra Bullock Shows Up to Claim 'Worst Actress' Razzie Award

When Sandra Bullock found out she was nominated for a Worst Actress award in this year's Golden Raspberry contest for her work in the summer oddball comedy "All About Steve," she promised to attend the ceremony and claim her prize if she won.

Despite the Oscar nominee's very busy weekend, Bullock followed through on her vow, showing up at the ceremony in Los Angeles carting a wagon full of "All About Steve" DVDs and a refreshing sense of humor for a movie star.

But Bullock -- who is a major Best Actress contender for her role in "The Blind Side" -- wasn't just there to poke fun at herself. The actress, who also co-produced "All About Steve," was there to defend her film. Despite bad reviews, it actually made a profit at the box office.

"Something tells me you all didn't watch the film," Bullock said as she accepted the award at Barnsdall Gallery Theater in Hollywood.

That's where her little wagon full of DVDs came in. "We brought everybody in the audience a DVD of 'All About Steve,'" Bullock said. She told them that if they all watched the film and decided that it wasn't that bad, she would come back next year to "give back the Razzie."
Bullock also had a copy of the movie script on hand, and joked that she would stay there all night going line-by-line with the audience to see if she could have delivered it better than she did on film.

Bullock's good humor is unusual for the Razzies, a ceremony dedicated to showcasing the worst films and performances to come out of Hollywood each year. However, she's not the first star to show up and claim her trophy. Halle Berry famously accepted hers in 2005 for "Catwoman," and other celebrities who've made the Razzie walk of shame include Tom Green (for "Freddy Got Fingered") and director Paul Verhoeven (for "Showgirls").

But Bullock didn't just win Worst Actress for "All About Steve" -- she also shared the Worst Couple award with her co-star Bradley Cooper, not in attendance. "Again, if you had seen the film, seen it with your eyes, it's pretty much a film about a woman stalking a man," she joked. "That doesn't really set up the premise for a loving couple. So giving us the Worst Couple award is kind of duh."

Bullock also voiced her suspicion that she only won because she'd promised to attend the ceremony if she did, joking: "I said I would show up and then I miraculously won!" Actually, Bullock had to go out of her way to attend the ceremony, which is celebrating its 30th Anniversary. She had to briefly break away from her hosting gig at a charity event called "The Night Before," benefitting the Motion Picture Television Fund Foundation, in order to accept her Worst Actress award. If Bullock wins Best Actress tonight at the Oscars, she'll be the first person ever to win a Razzie and an Oscar in the same year.

They probably didn't even watch the movie. I mean for her to get worst actress over someone like Miley Cyrus, or any of number bad performers

It's obvious that she won due to her Oscar buzz. They wanted to offset all of that with, "Look, she just won Worst Actress!" It was very fun of her to actually show up and accept the award, though!

I've always loved Sandra - she just seems so down-to-earth and would be a lot of fun to hang out with. I love how she showed up dragging a wagon filled to the brim with DVDs of All About Steve.
