Hey everyone. I live in Virginia, where Alicia was murdered several years ago, and I actually lived in Charlottesville at the time (which is where she was headed to go shopping). I was only 9 at the time, but I still remember people talking about it.

I heard on the radio yesterday that the police department had set up a facebook page trying to elicit more info on the case, and thought I'd share:

Also, I need some advice. I was looking at the police sketch, and it has always reminded me of a man I knew at the time, who lived in the area and was the same age as this person would have been at the time. He was a friend of the family, and a seemingly good man, but I can't shake that the drawing looks like him. I wonder if it's worth reporting it even though the only thing I'm going on is the resemblance, location, and approximate age?

remind me about this case again???

I would at least say something or do a bit more digging first.

This is the one where the woman drove from Maryland to Virginia for a shopping trip, and along the way a man in a pick-up truck flagged her down, pretending that she had car trouble. Apparently he had been working his way up to killing a woman, as he had done the same thing to other women only they either were not harmed or they got away with minor injuries.

Thanks for the suggestions: I think I will do some more digging and then perhaps phone it in. If it isn't him then it isn't him, right?

It's such a shame this case hasn't been solved. I still think this guy is in prison, b/c that type of sadism is consistent with a serial killer.
