Givin how many failed attempts I have recently had to stimulate some conversation about this fine series, I am going to resort to posting yet another thread about site traffic! I would like to apologize in advance to anyone who finds this annoying! If you look at my second-to-last thread on this page, you will see that it has sixteen views and zero responses. When I saw this, I tried to think of what about the number sixteen would be good to use to commemorate this event. Then I thought of a book that was published sixteen years ago. It was written by the very controversial author Leslea Newman. Is anyone out there familiar with the children's book "Heather has Two Mommies"? This one caused quite a stir back in the late eighties and early nineties! Wow! Well, in 1994, she published a book called "Fat Chance". It was about a young lady suffering from bulimia. Have any of you, by any chance read it? Even though I did not find it as good as addolecent literature by Judy Blume, S.E. Hinton or even Lois Duncan, I am still happy to have read it.
