In a statement, the band said the problems were caused by Co2 canisters used to blast confetti during 'Rock and Roll All Nite'.

Singer Paul Stanely said the situation, which meant KISS played just 12 songs – including a one song encore – was “pretty scary”.

“Once the confetti cannons went off, we barely made it off stage. Each of us thought we were the only one until we saw each other,” he said.

The intimate showcase, at the Islington Academy, was a warm-up for their forthcoming European tour.

But despite the problems, Stanley described the gig as an “amazing night that left many breathless”.

I've been sick of "Rock and Roll all Nite" for years. These so-called classic rock stations around here seem to think it's the only thing Kiss ever recorded although they will play "Beth" on rare occasions but that's it.

Yeah, I saw KISS live a couple of times and they really go all out on confetti.

I remember when the KISSology DVDs were coming out that KISS had a lot of radio play: Detroit Rock City, Strutter, Love Gun, War Machine...

It was only around the time of the DVDs and after they came out that was it mostly.

I would expect that in large markets like NY but around here you can forget it. One station I listen to actually played "Rock and Roll all Nite" 3 times in a 12 hour period one day. If that's not overkill then I don't know what is.
