With the Olympics over, NBC reclaimed its fourth-place position in Monday night's ratings, as ABC's "The Bachelor" finale led ABC to a nightly victory, tvbythenumbers.com reports.

ABC posted a 5.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, with "The Bachelor" two-hour finale posting a 5.3 average, and the "After the Rose" special at 10 p.m. grabbing a 5.4 rating. "Bachelor" wrapped up its most-watched season since 2003.

CBS landed in second, boosted by great showings from "The Big Bang Theory" (5.9 rating in the 18-49 demo) and "Two and a Half Men" (5.7). Fox took third with a 2.3 rating, followed by NBC in fourth with a 2.1 rating. A 10 p.m. "Law & Order" grabbed a 2.1 rating, 31% ahead of the average episode of "The Jay Leno Show."

Not surprising since they've shown nothing but crap over the past 5-6 years. I only occasionally check out Leno.

That's what they get for scurrying to hurry the end of the Olympics just to show one of their new crappy shows once again.

I remember reading somewhere how Jeff Zucker believed that NBC wouldn't regain the top spot anytime soon (if ever) . Pretty sad when the boss feels that way.

It's attitudes like his that won't get NBC very far at all. As long as this dimwit stays with NBC, the network will continue to sink faster than a stone in deep water.
