Today co-anchor Meredith Vieira has agreed to add another year to her deal with NBC, which means the network will have her on the top rated morning show at least until September 2011.
An NBC News spokeswoman declined comment about an extension for Vieira, but sources familiar with the deal told TV Guide Magazine that an agreement has been reached.
Vieira's current contract was up in September. She earns in the range of $10 million a year.
Vieira joined Today in September 2006 after Katie Couric left to become anchor of the CBS Evening News. The morning show has remained a solid number one in the ratings, not losing a single week for the last 14 years.
Vieira is a veteran of ABC News, ABC's daytime talk show The View and the CBS newsmagazine 60 Minutes.
