Howard Stern Rips Into Leno on The Early Show

Howard Stern has never held back when it comes to his feelings on Jay Leno.

He talks about it on his SIRIUS show, he has talked about it on The Late Show, and now he went on CBS' The Early Show (from his studio) to talk to Harry Smith about Leno's return to The Tonight Show.

The words "vomit" and "thief" are mentioned.

I like Howard Stern. :D

I've gotten on youtube and listened to some of the stuff he's said about Jay and it's classic. Howard didn't always hate Jay, though. So there was some early stuff where Howard was okay with him. And no it wasn't this whole mess that turned him against Jay, because I don't think Howard is a Conan fan, either.

...he always stands up for the "underdog"- in this case, Conan O'Brien. Sure, Howard might not like him or his show personally, but when someone like Jay Leno takes back the time period that had been promised to Conan- without a fighting chance to prove he actually belonged there, with NBC handing him and his crew $44 million and saying, in effect, "Here's your severance pay, now get lost!"- that's why Stern is angry.

I'd be, too, if that happened to me. It wouldn't be the money (although it's nice to have), it would be the fact that I busted my hump trying to package and star in a what I thought was a good talk show, and suddenly the network is telling me, well, the guy who used to have your corner wants it back- and so do we- either step aside, or, good-bye!

So, Howard has a legitimate beef. How long he'll allow it to stew, who knows?
