One fact that most true fans of this show know is that before Kari Michaelson was picked for the part of Katie, Helen Hunt was in the running. I for one have a very hard time picturing someone with as much substance as Helen Hunt playing someone as shallow and superficial as Katie Kinisky! Helen Hunt is one of the few women that I have developed even more of a crush on than I have on Lauri Hendler (Julie from this show)! In any case, tommorow night at ten o'clock, there will be a new series based on the Steve Martin movie "Parenthood". A while back, I read on the "Mad About You" page that Helen was being considered for one of the parts. I have since read that she got beaten out by another actress whose name I do not remember. How anyone could reject Helen Hunt is beyond me!
