The Office will have the arrival of a baby soon and I just feel that will make the show unwatchable. Has there been any tv sitcoms that went downhill after a NEWBORN?

Completely disagree here. I thought Mad About You was pretty much stellar after season 1. It managed to rise in quality and (aside from a few select episodes) stayed there until the final episode. Of course, you knew they'd have a baby at some point. The show was about the stages in a relationship after marriage. A baby was just one of those stages they had to showcase.

Disagree all you want......but the dissatisfaction among viewers is clearly evident. I personally can't watch past season 4.

I really hope they don't show Pam and Jim's Home life after the baby is born because that's when I will be done

Mork and Mindy - birth of Mearth, anyone? well this show's goose was already on the killing edge in S2 but the birth of Mearth totally sealed its fate.

"All In The Family" - with the arrival of baby Joey.

"Bewitched" - with the arrival of second baby Adam...in which he was missing for most of the last few seasons.

Actually, Tabitha caused Bewitched to jump the shark; I found her to be a distraction.

Others:

Lily on Step By Step
Olivia (were there any others?) on The Cosby Show
Niki and Alex on Full House
T. D. (Timothy David) Fox on Coach

Chrissy on Growing Pains...she just bugged the heck out of me.
Andy on Family Ties on the other hand I didn't think was all that bad. I loved the ep where Alex was taking him to preschool and gave him the nametag sticker that said "I know what's mine"

But I do hope that they don't revolve The Office around Pam and Jim's baby. I hope they do it like they did on WKRP in Cincinnati, have the couple of episodes with the baby but then focus the show back on the main characters.
